Water Quality Services
Direct, Indirect and Storm Water Discharge Permitting
EPA and state regulations for water discharge permitting can be overwhelming to keep up with especially as states develop water permitting programs that go beyond the federal requirements. Permitting for industrial sources under these programs are often very specific to particular industries and/or processes and vary by state. Clean Water Act permitting requirements differ greatly for direct dischargers and those that discharge to POTWs and can include requirements for storm water discharges as well.
Avogadro's professional consultants provide nationwide experience in providing water quality permitting and consulting services. These services can range in complexity and include: identification and characterization of process wastewater streams, process modifications or material substitutions to reduce effluent toxicity and/or volume, and direct or POTW discharge permit development, storm water general permit development.
Wastewater Analytical and Reporting
Often time's wastewater permits are already in place and Avogadro can support sources by providing monitoring, analytical, recordkeeping and reporting services to maintain compliance with permit conditions and effluent standards. This intimate knowledge often allows us to provide focused wastewater engineering support when problems arise or processes change.
Pollution Prevention Assessments and Wastewater Engineering
Avogadro's professionals have conducted numerous exercises to evaluate the source and control of effluent concentration or mass loading. In many cases, pollution prevention assessments are conducted to eliminate or minimize the impact of sources of pollution through material substitution, process modification or enhanced operations and maintenance program implementation. When front end opportunities are not enough, Avogadro can provide consultation for control equipment enhancement or troubleshooting, or provide options for different and emerging technologies that may better address control.
