John Wilson is an Air Quality Scientist for Avogadro Environmental Corporation. As a technician in the Testing Division, Mr. Wilson works as part of the field teams and utilizes SEPA test methods enumerated in 40 CFR 60 and 40 CFR 75 to complete client diagnostic and complianceemissions test programs. In this role, he participates in field events involving sampling for particulate matter, PM 10, metals, hydrogen chloride, hexavalant chromium, ammonia, acetaldehyde and VOC. He assists field team leaders and project managers to keep projects on time and cost-effective. Mr. Wilson also ensures that quality samples and data are acquired from a job site in an unbiased and accurate manner. He is called upon to reduce field test data. Mr. Wilson prepares packing lists and cleans and stages equipment for upcoming stack test projects.
Mr. Wilson also assists in creating and revising data acquisition software and hardware solutions for in-house and mobile trailer testing requirements. Other responsibilities include providing routine maintenance to Avogadro's mobile CEM laboratories and repair to test equipment in Avogadro's shop.
His formal training includes Electrical and Electronic PACE courses during his US Navy career, with applications in data acquisition and robotics. Mr. Wilson has extensive experience with personal computer hardware and software, including operating systems selection, installation, maintenance and repair. He is familiar with Microsoft Visual Basic, all Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook, Golden Softwares suite of graphing and mapping products, and National Instruments LabVIEW. He has certificates of completion in several Apollo HAZMAT Safety Training courses, including the 40 Hour Hazwoper (meets OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120), 8 Hour Hazardous Materials Supervisor (meets OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120), 8 Hour Confined Space Training (meets OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 1926 Standards), and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Training. Mr. Wilson has also received training through the Associated Builders and Contractor's (ABC) and Association of Reciprocal Safety Council (ARSC) Basic Safety Training Course, which includes instruction in Industrial Safety Orientation, Hazard Communication, Personal Protective Equipment, Hearing Conservation, and Process Safety Management.
